Interior Decorating Certificate/Diploma
For those who are:
- seeking employment in, or expanding their knowledge of, the interior decorating industry
- establishing an interior decorating business
- homeowners who wish to decorate their homes
Diploma Requirements
Attendance of 340 hours of courses, of which 120 hours must be Core courses, 160 hours must be Elective courses, 60 hours must be Skills Enhancement courses.
Diploma students must complete the program in 4 years.
Certificate Requirements
Attendance of 200 hours of courses, of which 100 hours must be Core courses, 60 hours must be Elective courses, 40 hours must be Skills Enhancement courses.
Certificate students must complete the program within 3 years.

After successful completion of each class, students will receive a letter of proficiency. Successful completion requires 80% attendance, completion of all assignments with demonstrated competency and, if applicable, passing a final exam. Courses are offered on a rotating schedule. To ensure receiving a manual and supplies, please register 1 week before the class begins.

Makeup Artistry Certificate/Diploma
The program is ideal for people who want a career that is constantly evolving, creative and inspirational to others.
The program includes 2 modules:
- Makeup Artistry Certificate
- Air Brushing & Specialized Makeup Certificate
A certificate is awarded for each module. A diploma is awarded upon completion of both modules.
1. Makeup Artistry Certificate
This program is designed by top makeup artists in the industry leaving you with the knowledge, current skills, techniques and tools to have you equipped and ready for an exciting career as a makeup artist. This certificate program is taught by a professional artist and instructor with over 16 years of experience in the industry She has worked at some of the top makeup artistry schools and agencies in Canada. Her students have advanced in various fields within the industry.
This program will focus on a variety of areas necessary to excel in the industry such as makeup for fashion, photography, transformation from day into evening, bridal, retail, film, television, stage, decades, editorial, celebrity, creative thinking and marketing yourself, and portfolio building, guest speakers, and working on set.
This program is an excellent way to discover your potential and start an exciting career as a makeup artist.
How long is the Makeup Artistry certificate program?
There will be 2 options in the fall.
1. Full time, day time, 8 week program (200hrs)
2. Part time evenings (detail TBD)

2. Air Brushing & Specialized Makeup Certificate
This course expands your knowledge and skills as a professinal makeup artist. Advance your skills by learning specialized methods of makeup application currently used by skilled makeup artists in the industry. The course starts with basic application techniques, facial makeup. bodywork, and stenciling. The second part of the course concentrates on advance makeup skills such as scarring, bruising, character makeup and theatre.
How long is the Air Brushing certificate program?
There will be both a full time (2 week program/50 hours) , and a part time program offered in the fall. Details will be posted soon.
*A Diploma is awarded upon completion of both modules
