Starting & Operating A Family Child Care - Good Beginnings
Caring for a small group of children in your own home is a rewarding experience and meets the important need of young families for quality child care. This course offers the information and skills needed to start your own family child care business.
Topics include:
- introduction to family childcare
- children’s development and behaviour
- promotion of good health and nutrition
- safety and emergencies
- activity planning
- managing and administering the business
A certificate issued by Burnaby Community & Continuing Education will be granted following satisfactory completion of this course.
Fluency in written and spoken English is highly recommended.
Course fee includes workbook. Please bring a 3-ring binder with 2 inch rings. To receive the certificate, you must attend all the sessions. There will be two combined sessions off site on Saturday March 31.
