ELSA Registration

Before registering in ELSA, students must take an assessment:

Students must phone either the Vancouver or Surrey testing centre to make an appointment to take the test. The assessment test is free. After you have taken the test, the assessment centre will contact you (within two weeks) with the results. You must go back to the assessment centre for a referral letter.

  Mondays at 12:00 pm and Tuesdays at 5:30 pm
• South Burnaby Adult Education Centre (SBAEC), Portables, 5455 Rumble Street (Enter off Watling Street)
  Thursdays at 12:00 pm
• Windsor Community Learning Centre, 6907 Gilley Avenue
  Wednesdays at 11:45 am

Foundations Course Registration

Students are required to take an assessment test prior to registration.(Assessment and registration takes approximately 2 hours)

We recommend that students take an assessment test before the  registration dates.  Save time by taking your assessment test in early.  See below for assessment dates and times.

  • March 26 and March 28 at 10:00am, 11:30am and 1:00pm

January 12 to June 28 (no assessments on March 22 or March 29), every Thursday at 12:00 pm

Bring the following:

• If you are a Canadian citizen, your birth certificate, passport or citizenship card
• If you are a Permanent Resident, your Permanent Resident card
• If you are a visitor or Refugee claimant, please bring your passport, visa and /or claimant documents
• Photo ID
• Proof of Residency in BC (BC Driver’s License, BC Care Card, BCID or utility bill).

Note: Students will not be registered unless documentation is provided.

High School Completion Course Registration

Registration is in person only at Brentwood Continuing Education Centre (upstairs), 4247 Lougheed Highway

Pre-registration for Spring day courses:

• March 26 and March 28, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

or call to make an appointment to register at 604.717.5027

Bring the following:

• Birth certificate or passport (for Canadian citizens)
• Permanent Resident card (for Permanent Residents)
• If you are a  Refugee claimant, please bring your passport, visa and /or claimant documents
• Letter of permission from your principal (if you are currently attending daytime high school)
• Photo ID
• Proof of Residency in BC (BC Driver’s License, BCID card, BC Care Card or utility bill)

Note: Students will not be registered unless documentation is provided.

Be prepared to discuss your graduation plans

• An intake advisor will assist you with your graduation questions and plans. If you have questions, please phone for an appointment at 604.717.5027.
• Bring your school transcript or report card (if available)
