LINC Registration

Before registering for the LINC program, students must take an assessment. Students must phone one of the testing centres listed below to make an appointment for the free assessment test. After you have taken the test, the assessment centre will contact you (within two weeks) with the results. You must go back to the assessment centre for a referral letter to take to the LINC school of your choice.

Once the student has the referral letter from the assessment centre, register at any of the schools below:

  • Edmonds Resource Centre, Room 209, 7355 Canada Way
    Mondays at 10:30am, Tuesdays at 5:30pm and Wednesdays at 12:00pm
  • Windsor Neighbourhood Learning Centre, 6907 Gilley Avenue
    Tuesdays at 12:30pm, Tuesdays at 6:30pm and Thursdays at 11:15am
  • South Burnaby Adult Education Centre (SBAEC), 5455 Rumble St
    Wednesdays at 2:00pm (starting September 7)

 

Foundations Course Registration

Register now for our Winter/Spring 2017 classes – TUITION FREE for eligible students!
Students are required to take an assessment test prior to registration. Assessment and registration takes approximately 2 hours. Please arrive on time for your assessment.

Registration is in-person only. Bring the documents listed below with you. Students will not be registered unless documentation is provided.

  • Citizenship status – If you are a Canadian citizen, bring your Canadian birth certificate, Canadian passport, or Canadian citizenship card. If you are a permanent resident, bring your permanent resident card. If you are a refugee or refugee claimant, bring your passport and claimant documents. If you are a visitor, bring your passport and visa / work permit.
  • Photo ID
  • Proof of residence in BC – Bring a BC Driver’s License, BC Care Card, BC ID Card or utility bill (Fortis, BC Hydro, land line telephone bill)
  • A non-refundable assessment fee of $25.00 for students needing an assessment – Cash, Visa or MasterCard only.

Fees and Deposits for Foundation Courses

Textbook Deposits

  • A $100 deposit is required for all courses (due on the first day of class).
  • Payment is via cash, Visa or MasterCard only.
  • If your books are brought back in good condition within 2 weeks of finishing a class (or immediately after you withdraw from a class), you will be refunded $90.00
  • If the books are brought back after 2 weeks, you will be refunded $50.00.
  • If books are brought back after 4 weeks, there is no refund.

Tuition Fees

  • TUITION FREE for eligible students! Foundations courses are free for Canadian citizens, permanent residents and status refugees. Holders of work permits may be eligible for tuition free courses.
  • $1325 per course for international students and visitors.
  • $995 per course for parents/guardians of Burnaby School District’s international students.
  • Payment is via cash, Visa or MasterCard only.

Tuition Refunds

  • A written request for a refund must be received before the start of the second class. A $35.00 processing fee will be charged.

 

High School Completion Course Registration

  • If available, bring a school transcript or the most recent report card

  • $995 per course for parents/guardians of Burnaby School District’s international students.

Tuition Refunds

  • There are no tuition refunds after the first class. A written request for a refund must be received before the start of the second class. A $35.00 processing fee will be charged.
