3 Ways to Register
Burnaby School District students require a Personal Education Number (PEN) for a tuition-free course.
Those not eligible for a tuition-free course or those signing up for courses requiring tuition must pay by cash, money order or Visa or Mastercard.
Elementary: April 10 - July 4
Secondary: April 10 - June 27

Current Grade 12 students must register in person and provide their PEN.
Non-Burnaby School Disctrict Students
Students who do not attend a Burnaby School District school must register in person. A PEN is required for a tuition-free course for BC students. The following documents are also required:
1. Proof of residence (2 required)
- Completed Agreement of Purchase; or
- Residential Tenancy Agreement; or
- Property tax notice; or
- Hydro/utility bill; or
- BC Driver's License; or
- Documentation from a government agency or financial institution
2. Proof of citizenship (1 required)
- Canadian Birth Certificate; or
- Citizenship card with photo ID; or
- Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) documentation
3. Copy of the student's most recent school marks
- Student's most recent report card; or
- Transcript of academic record
Tuition fee courses include a registration fee of $35.
The $35 registration fee will be retained for all requested refunds for courses requiring tuition fees. Requests for refunds must be made in writing and include original receipt.
July 10 is the final day for refunds for Elementary courses.
July 4 is the final day for refunds for Secondary courses.
A $35 fee will be charged for all requested transfers unless recommended by the Burnaby School District.

Course Locations & Cancellations
Courses and their locations cannot be guaranteed. Course offerings are subject to sufficient enrolment and may be moved or cancelled prior to the course commencing.

Registration for Provincial Exams closes July 4, 2014
Provincial Exams will be held August 11-14 for the following courses:
- English 10
- Apprenticeship & Workplace Math 10
- Foundations of Math & Pre-Calculus 10
- Science 10
- Socials Studies 11
- Communications 12
- English 12
Exams will be scheduled on a specific date and students will be assigned a time and location. Exam schedules will be posted at http://www.sd41.bc.ca/ and in schools and classrooms.
