Admin and Sales Support – Robinson Bath and Lighting

Reporting to the Vancouver Showroom Branch Manager, the Admin & Support will greet customers, directing them to the appropriate team member to assist them in their customer needs. Northwest Gardening Services Ltd. – Landscape Maintenance Associate

Northwest Gardening Services Ltd, a Burnaby-based landscape contractor since 1978, is looking for a teammate to help with landscape maintenance and general landscape labor.

You will work together with a supervisor and have a portfolio of sites which may include Government, Strata, hospital and rental properties that you will be responsible for maintaining in partnership with our management. You will visit each site weekly. Days start with a short meeting at our shop to go over any site specifics and finish back at our shop again. Northwest Gardening Services Ltd, a Burnaby-based landscape contractor since 1978, is looking for a teammate to help with landscape maintenance and general landscape labor.

You will work largely on your own in communication with management at sites which may include Government, Strata, hospital and rental properties. You will be trained to carry out organic steam weed control in garden islands, ornamental landscape beds, road medians, river rock areas, and gravel pathways.

Other duties may include pressure washing, soil/mulch install, planting, garden renovations, small paver and retaining wall installations/renovations, and general landscape maintenance. Days start with a short meeting at our shop to go over any site specifics and finish back at our shop again.

We will sponsor suitable candidates for Red Seal Apprenticeship in horticulture. Red Seal is recognized across the country so you will always find work with a skill set that is recession-proof and covid safe! We are an essential industry and have not missed any shifts due to the pandemic.

The West Vancouver Parks Department is accepting applications for a temporary full-time Park Attendant, responsible for park maintenance tasks, including turf grass maintenance, horticulture and waste collection.

The successful candidate may also be assisting with: park construction; graffiti removal, sign and trail maintenance, playground maintenance; snow removal, and other related duties as operationally required. The position is considered manual work, requiring strength, effort and stamina. Candidates must also have a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Applicant Requirements

  • An aptitude/interest in Park Operations;
  • Knowledge and experience in at least one of the following disciplines: turf grass maintenance, horticulture and/or waste collection;
  • Sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination to permit the performance of manual outdoor work in all types of weather;
  • An ability to exercise excellent customer service skills when interacting with park users and the public;
  • An ability to build and maintain positive and effective working relationships with the public and staff;
  • Experience with the safe operation of landscaping power tools (i.e. line trimmer, mower, hedge trimmer);
